About the CCCOGP
The Conservation Committee of California
Oil and Gas Producers (CCCOGP), in business since 1929, is an industry
supported, tax exempt, 501[c](06) non-profit organization that administers a
voluntary program of production and conservation control. California’s
sustained production and extended economic producing life has been due, in
large measure, to the work of the CCCOGP and its predecessor organizations.
The industry, acting through the CCCOGP Engineering Board, continues to
promote advanced production practices to maximize the ultimate recovery of
oil and gas from California fields.
Since 1955, the CCCOGP, pursuant to
Sections 3450 and 3451 of the Public Resources Code, is the designated
advisor to the State Oil and Gas Supervisor on maximum efficient rates of
production and for the intra pool distribution of such maximum efficient
rates of production with respect to the State oil, gas and condensate
resources.
